Press Release: Fashioned for Freedom 2017

My Refuge House presents Fashioned for Freedom 2017 bringing together fashion, fun, and freedom for girls rescued from human trafficking.

Fashioned for Freedom Runway Show will be held November 1 at Brake and Clutch Warehouse on 3601 Main Street, Dallas, TX 75226 in Deep Ellum.

Dallas, TX, July 3, 2017: Fashioned for Freedom Runway Show benefits My Refuge House (MRH), a home in Cebu, Philippines for girls who have been rescued from human and sex trafficking. The show will feature local and international designers, inspiring stories of the brave girls of MRH, drinks, desserts, and will help you learn how to join the fight to end human trafficking. The money raised from this year's show will go directly to help support six new girls who are joining the MRH family this year. MRH provides a safe environment for the girls to receive counseling, education, livelihood skills, medical care, and more.

The show this year will be held at the brand-new Brake and Clutch Warehouse in the Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas. This historic building filled with exposed brick and high ceilings brings a new look to the show, and we can’t wait to see the show come to life. The night will feature valet parking, dessert and drinks, pop-up shops for your early holiday shopping, and a runway show filled with fashion from local and international designers. It’s a night not to be missed!

When girls are rescued, there are few places in the region that cater specifically to survivors of trafficking. My Refuge House provides access to the best care we can in order to effectively alleviate the trauma the girls have experienced and to give them a hopeful future. One of our survivors said, “My Refuge House is a safe place and I consider it as my own refuge. They always help me here. I always imagine that we are one family here because they are always taking such good care of me.” You can be a part of helping more girls find a home and hope at My Refuge House.
